Astronomy Merit Badge @ Strategic Air Command
Greetings Scouts! For our April outing, Troop 275 is headed to Strategic Air Command's Air & Space Mueseum so that we can earn the Astronomy Merit Badge. We will be leaving Ames at 4pm on 4/20 from the North Grand Christian Church (dome church). We should arrive at SAC around 7pm so we can participate in the merit badge program. Around 8am on Saturday, we will depart the museum and head to Lewis and Clark State Park at Onawa, Iowa where we will camp through mid-morning on Sunday. Cost is $45 (i.e. $35 to SAC and $10 for Lewis and Clark).
March Campout - Pike's Peak
Hello Scouts,
Sorry for the delay on the campout info. We have changed our plans for the March campout since spring has come early this year. It is going to be in the 70's next weekend. So we are going to be camping out side in tents. We are going to go up to N.E Iowa to pike peak state park. We will meet at the church at 5:30 and leave no later that 6pm and will be home around 1pm sunday. The cost is $20. I will need a couple of drivers to come along(depending on the number of boys). 3/19 Meeting
Our 3/19 Troop meeting will be in the second floor room (the one with the couches) in the dome church. This is because Pack 275 is borrowing the gym and the two downstairs meeting rooms for their pack meeting.
Need five Boy Scouts to operate a gaming table in the gym from 6:40 – 7:00 pm (this is a gathering activity for Pack 275 Cub Scouts). Would Eric B, Daniel K, Caleb K, Taylor C, Erich S, and Justin S be up for this?
At 7:05 pm we will open the Cub Scout meeting in the gym by presenting flags. After flags, our troop will head to the second floor so that the Pack can use the Gym.
